    The Opportunity

    You will be responsible for carrying out a range of secretarial tasks and higher end legal support duties as assigned by your supervisor. This include but not limit to:

    • Opening new files, preparing letters and correspondence, drafting medical legal letters of instruction, compiling briefs and court documents.
    • File management - proactively liaising with the supervising solicitor and relevant parties to advance files.
    • Developing and maintaining billing systems.
    • Monitoring critical dates to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Diary management
    • Handling general client requests and other in-bound callers via telephone and face to face.
    • Assisting with project work and in training of legal assistants where necessary.

    The Successful Applicant

    The Senior Legal Assistant position at Zaparas will be both challenging and rewarding. We are looking for someone with a strong legal background who wants to step up in a senior role which will provide variety in their daily work.

    • You are a self-motivated individual who can work efficiently with minimal supervision

    We are looking for a full-time Office Assistant to join our Oakleigh office. Please note this is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract position. 

    The Opportunity

    This role forms part of our Administration team. The Office Assistant is responsible for protecting and maintaining files to a high standard for use by solicitors in the conduct of their case file responsibilities. The role is also responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail together with a range of records/file coordination activities including records disposal. 

    • Supply legal team with case files and other documents as requested.
    • Ensure all case files and records are sorted, stored correctly and kept up-to-date. 
    • Coordinate the archiving of documents and undertake shredding in line with instructions and business practice.
    • Ensure file storage supply and shelving keeps pace with file storage requirements. 
    • Adhere to relevant legislation regarding file retention and disposal.
    • Coordinate, sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail.

    The Opportunity

    We are looking for a full-time Receptionist / Administration Assistant to join our Oakleigh office. 

    Job tasks and responsibilities

    • Acting as the first point of contact for all new client enquiries and providing exceptional level of client service.
    • Undertake and respond to all new client enquiries including website and social media enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Ensure all new client enquiries have a first call resolution where possible.
    • Conduct relevant client follow up activities which may include mail outs.
    • Support the enhancement of the new client enquiry module in LawMaster.
    • Collect and monitor client referral intelligence across all sites and departments.
    • Ensure the referral channel list is accurate and up to date.
    • Prepare reports as requested by the management.
    • Carrying out administrative duties including scanning documents, filing scanned documents into the appropriate document classification, both on the hardcopy file and softcopy file.
    • Performing other duties consistent with skills, knowledge and abilities as assigned by the direct supervisor.

    The Successful Applicant

    • Previous experience in reception and customer service in a call centre or office environment is essential.
    • You are a self-motivated individual who has a ‘can-do’ attitude and can work under supervision in a high-paced environment.

    The Position 

    As an experienced WorkCover lawyer, you will be working within a team and be mentored by a Senior Lawyer. You will work on your own client portfolio with a mix of challenging and complex matters and be responsible for carrying out a variety of legal tasks and providing exceptional client service both face to face, telephone, and video conferencing. This position is suitable for someone who has had hands-on experience in personal injury law and is ready to take their career to the next level. 

    The opportunity

    A great opportunity has arisen for a full-time WorkCover Lawyer to join our WorkCover team at our Cranbourne office. 

    The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and services to our clients within specialist legal practice areas. The role involves legal research, precedent, gathering evidence, and preparing pleadings in court. The role has significant interaction with clients requiring positive client relationships, explaining the legal process as well as instructing other legal practitioners and administrative personnel as required. It includes taking instructions directly from clients, providing advice, and appearing and instructing in Court.

    The Successful Applicant

    • Perform file work, draft legal/court documents, prepare and compile briefs and court judgments.
    • Prepare matters for Conciliation, Medical Panel, and Court.
    • Appear and advocate for clients at directions hearings, conciliations, pre-issue conferences, VCAT conferences, and the like.
    • Attend client meetings, court, or barrister conferences.
    • Take instructions from clients, provide legal assistance/advice to clients via face-to-face or telephone including information on statutory benefits and serious injury applications.
    • Carry out a variety of legal tasks associated with the practice area/s and oversee delegated work of assigned Administrative Staff.
